Finding a part-time job is always a great way to earn more money, make a dent in reducing that student loan, and earn some new skills while you’re studying. But there’s always the worry that an added commitment will take away from your studies – not to mention your fun university lifestyle.Â
So, what if we told you that you could work flexibly around your university schedule, sign up for shifts with your friends, and make new friends along the way? What’s more – what if you could do all of this at some of the biggest events in this year’s calendar?
All you need to do is sign up to join our growing team of events staff. Too good to be true, right? Wrong!
To give you a real insight into what it’s like to work with us, we asked some of our regulars. Here’s what they said:
1. Amazing people
A great workplace starts with great people, and it’s no different here at hap. When we asked our staff what they liked most about their roles, this answer came up a lot – along with ‘banter’ and ‘good vibes’ (you get the gist!). We’re proud to have created a teamwork culture where everyone chips in. And when you work hard, you can play hard too!
2. Flexibility
It’s clear that the majority of the hap team value our flexible nature. We have all kinds of roles available, and each has the option to book on whenever you want, and take a break when you have other commitments. It’s why we slot perfectly around your plans.
3. A lunch break like no other
Where else can you clock off for lunch and go to see one of your favourite artists headlining a huge music event? Jump in the crowd and have a boogie, then head back to work feeling refreshed. You might even catch people you wouldn’t necessarily have watched if you weren’t working on the festival circuit.
4. Extraordinary eventsÂ
As well as music festivals, we also staff concerts, sporting venues, and food and drink events – giving you the chance to attend some of the biggest dates in the calendar. You may decide to return the following year on the other side of the bar – or you might stick to having the best of both worlds.
5. A working holiday
Maybe you’re not a student but you’re still keen to earn some extra cash. A lot of our staff are mature – some even have regular jobs. Those who do, say that working for hap is a welcome break from their 9 to 5s – no two days are the same!
6. Make new friends
People love having the chance to work alongside their friends – and make new ones along the way. If you’ve just started university and want to expand your circle, it’s the perfect chance to meet new people. Many of our team even sign up to hap solo, then return with the friends they’ve made next year. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
7. The energy
Unlike an office job where you’re probably confined to your desk all day, with hap, you can soak up all the fun atmosphere at our events for free! In fact, you’re actually getting paid to be there.
